XIII Havana Biennial

XIII Havana Biennial

The global art world descended on Cuba for the XIII Havana Biennial, hosted in conjunction with the city’s 500th anniversary celebrations.  TOCA Events provided comprehensive travel and destination management services for a high level US and Brazilian contingency.  The program showcased international participants of the art fair, while giving particular emphasis to the host city’s rich cultural institutions and its inspiring artistic landscape.

Our full immersive itinerary included private performances by some of the country’s foremost musicians and vocal ensembles, private curated tours of the Biennial’s must-see exhibitions in addition to People-to-People encounters that celebrated the traditions of cigar making in the unique Vinales Valley biosphere as well as offerings to the sea through Santeria dance and percussion.

Our gala dinner was hosted at internationally acclaimed visual artist Kadir Lopez’s newly founded cultural space, Rex Neon Center, a cooperative focused on bringing Havana’s historic neon signage back to life.

TOCA Events is proud to contribute to the assistance of the Cuban people via the support of private entrepreneurs, independent freelance staff and direct interaction through cultural and educational exchange.
